Naked Alphabet
For some time, there are many attempts to renew the alphabet, one of the most viewed and abused artworks in the world. Enlightened by a sensual inspiration rooted in a thousand-year tradition, which has its roots in ancient Greece, one day Anastasia Mastrakouli decided to give us this naked version. We all know how hard it’s being surprised by something today, especially when it comes to words. The gift of Anastasia is that of rediscovering the charm, the sound of each letter combination, just by losing yourself in the shapes of its silhouette.
Born in 1989 in Athens, and grew up in Lamia, Greece, Anastasia is a graduate of Ionian University, Department of Audio Visual Arts. Among her works, Barriers, a short film about our society and its rules, in collaboration with George Tsirogiannis, which awarded a special distinction at Patras International Film Festival 2011, titled “The new generation against social stereotypes”.
