Street Stories

Abyss (When you look long time at the abyss, also this one looks inside you)

Halfway between story telling scenes and haunting fictional character work, the art of David Villaecija has always been inspired by everything happens to him and surrounds. From the mood to the physical experiences, trips, people, cultures, and stories like 1984, Creepy, Vampirella, as well as great illustrators of the time such as Richard Corben, Luis García or F. De Felipe.

Born in Spain and grew up in a town south of Madrid in Móstoles, David began his trip in the early 90’s, when he was lucky to grow up surrounded by great Graffiti writers. “Those years together with all the experiences, moments and sensations would mark a direction and a trajectory that would make it very clear that I wanted to direct my life to it.”
