Kissing and Killing

Illustrator and concept artist, Mahdieh Farhadkiaei, from Tehran, Iran, created a new fascinating way to shuffle women and men of playing cards. They kiss and kill each other, but the manner is always fascinating and passionate, as opposed to the traditional faces of French-suited playing cards. And on the other hand, the backstories of imperial reality are not so far to those illustrated here — William Shakespeare docet.

Mahdieh has never attended any digital painting class or institute, but she has tried to follow and study the work of her favorite artists just in addition to self-practicing. She is really interested in fashion illustration, that’s why in her personal projects she often draws the human figure and anatomy.
